... we finally have our tree up and it's going to stay... the nice big 12 foot tree ended up back at Lowe's in the box... when i walked in the guy said "i thought i'd see you again ... notice our display isn't plugged in it kept shorting out!' um thanks...... 3 trips later we settled with a full refund and looked all around the towns for a different tree... everything over 9 ft had to be ordered online and usually takes 10 days... too long... i have a fri deadline for holiday decorating... not a bit remorseful i let it go... so my wonderful husband dug our old faithful one out of the garage.... it's all lit up and looks perfect.... the kids just have to add all the fun ornaments this week.... later noah came down to tell me how many chapters he had read and he loved the tree... he told me it was better than the all white one... (lights) and that he was sorry and felt bad because he knew i really wanted a designer tree this year... so i told him, 'well sometimes by circumstances out of our control we don't end up with what we want... but sometimes we end up with something even better'... happy with that reply he ran off to bed... as i turned around to look one more time at the tree i realized it was perfect because i felt like i was at home for the holidays....

i am glad to see someone is as crazy about christmas as i am.. once halloween is over the tree comes up.. usually... i'm not allowed to decorate this year until boxes are all unpacked. soooo... it looks like there won't be many decorations around here this year. to feel like home.. i am waiting. i know the day will come.. i'm glad you guys are there. ;o)
