grace
...twelve years ago an 18 year old ivy league bound girl who believed that the world had so much to offer and so much to conquer.... by God two years at a JC weren't going to be for nothing (jc for lack of $).... she was focused all the way.... so not to disappoint her promising future she sat alone late one night at her computer and wrote a brilliant pro abortion 10 page paper for her political science final... not only was the paper given an A and 100% credit, it was the only paper to ever have achieved this score from this professor who headed up the entire department... she was told that her political mind was brilliant and that her career in politics was blossoming... and that one day she would be a great asset to this state's progressive movement.... then one night out of frustration and anguish over failed personal relationships she cried out to God, "please show me the person you have for me"... not thinking he would, prayer wasn't that easily answered, was it?.... 3 weeks later in walked a gorgeous stranger with big football shoulders and a heart fully for God... now sitting alone at her computer again this very same woman begged just last night, her cousin's 18 year old year old college bound girl, Bryn, to choose a private christian college to preserve her christian ideals through such an influential liberal age.... the only political statement i now have is exemplified perfectly in this new song i'm posting..... it's amazing what happens to a person when they truly give their lives over to the Lord and let his will be done "not mine but thy will"... being a surface christian doesn't allow us to experience the fullness of God... so my thoughts today are what side of the fence are you on or are you sitting atop waiting for the world's view to show you which way to jump? i'm a great testimony of God's grace in a dying world..... how different my life could have turned out if my father hadn't been on his knees begging God to open my eyes and heart fully to God all my teenage years.... yes I was always a christian but not always choosing Christ.... I think it took one moment of ultimate surrender and obedience to God to change my path forever...
