this is me letting things go... trying not to be too uptight.... the kids over the house... quality time with them ... keep the focus on the kids...
it's not going well...and well tonight i just finally lost it when jesse sweet as can be was painting rachel's fingernails at my brand new by only three days pottery barn kitchen table that i searched saved and waited for ...for 5 months... i was putting jammies on luke upstairs and i hear noah 'Mom quick it's an emergency!' ...all irritated at his definition of an emergency i ran downstairs to find that emergency was not entirely incorrect just mild for the scene before me...jesse rubbing quickly a cloth covering the huge blemish erupting on my prized possession.... moments before rachel had spilled the polish remover all over the table and now had flitted off to let daddy take the blame and deal with the dragon...me. i was not nice to my poor husband "don't you know that you are not supposed to use fingernail products anywhere near wood (let me clarify beautifully crafted black finish)! AAAGGGhhhhh!" as i frantically called my dad crying to see what can be done to save my treasure... and the table is completely ruined until he comes to assess the damage.... and well that was the end of my brand new black shayne 08 table....ah my life ....trying not to be too uptight... not going so well....the laundry well i keep telling myself that one day when they are all gone, i just might miss this catastrophic mound of soiled clothing.... i'm laughing now at my friends and teachers always telling me, 'oh i bet your house is immaculate, the way you stay so organized'...fake fake fake it's only a big front the kids are neat and tidy the rest well here's the proof... (shannon now you know you do this better than I do...god bless...you can't get in the game without the same numbers of players on the field...i/j)
i'm beginning to think that we need some domestic help.....
My GIGANTIC public apology (and yes he was beyond remorseful) babe sorry i was so mad, i do love you more than the table! and it was a great table and you are the best daddy a little girl could have...

Heather! I'm so glad I'm not the only one!...laundry is my arch enemy...Either it gets done or nothing else does. Hmmm. laundry can wait...Poor table! If you were a cheapskate like me it wouldnt matter too much... except that Ive had to actually throw away pieces recently because they don't stay in one piece after 2 years. Need to rethink my game... :)
