party

11 days and counting... we had her party and it was more successful than i had hoped... she was very happy to have two cakes both tinkerbell and all the party trimmings for her "i gave up my bnow party". it was cute she was just digging into the little tinkerbell cake when her brothers came home from school and they greedily helped her start the festivities. my parents surprised us with a little weekend visit and she thought it was just to celebrate with her...it worked out perfectly. she is doing really well considering the intense attachment to her bnow. she told me on sunday "daddy threw away aaaalllll (big arms demonstrating) my party stuff so can i have my b now?" well distraction and lots of stuffed animal friends going everywhere with us has helped. she asked again this afternoon when she was really tired. the boys were over it in 3 days. this has proved a little more challenging. they are all rounded up and thrown away. and to my intense happiness i haven't had to cut a single knot out of her hair. i'll call that a success. jesss did say he thought it would have been been easier 6 months from now...hard to say he's probably right... but the worst is behind us and it feels really good to be free from the entire baby aisle at target. wow we really have a house full of kids now, not babies.
