livin' the sweet life

i wish everyday was fun at the beach...now being in such a fabulous location i only wish we had moved sooner when the sun goes down over the ocean and we suck that last little bit of daylight out of the beach it's always with a reluctant heart to leave and then i realize were taking half the beach home with us on sandy little feet. then of course, there is the inevitable negotiation of bringing all the days treasures colected in sand pails, too precious to be thrown back in the sea. by the pile of rocks and dead seaweed sitting in my courtyard, it is clearly evident that the kids always win. i wouldn't change anything now...it's weird to reach a place in your life when you can honestly see why God has shaped and molded your path as he has, especially when you have fought with the utmost resistence at times...it's a big, "oh i get it now" moment....that peace that passes all understanding...i'm now wishing those moments for everyone i know and love...and more of them for my future....
