holy cow i can't believe it's here... our lukeman is 5!! to know this kids is to love him.... when dad's think ohhh.... i want a son.... this is what they are thinking... the kid that sleeps clutching his baseball bat for two weeks before opening game and chucks a football across the yard at 2 yrs old and beats the big kids in a swim race across the pool! and as for mommy well he's a dream come true... i didn't know infants slept through the night until i rushed into his room at 6 am when he was 8 weeks old, hyperventilating that my preemie had died of sids to find him peacefully still asleep! (nicu schedule? incredibly great baby?, whatever i'll take it... total gift from god) well then.... apparently they can go all night without eating... nothing like a child to prove you wrong! i'm so glad i spent this last year homeschooling him instead of sending him to some overrated preschool. we have had a terrific year and he's an amazing student... i think his focus and drive to learn is unparalleled for a kid who is so well rounded and can do just about anything academic or athletic.... the other day rae rae, luke, and i were in a parking lot and a car started backing out and rae rae shoved luke forward to "save him", shoving him into our car (i know, please how hard can she shove him right??!!) well he's all about truth and righteousness so immediately he informs me (astonished i might add),

"mom rae rae pushed me!?"

"not really luke she thought she was saving you from the car..." i explained.

"yeah lukey.... so you didn't die! cuz' i'd miss you so much ! i love you lukey..." rae rae tells him big eyes and all...

he decides to one up her....'well you know rae rae if you believe in Jesus and ask him into your heart you go to heaven anyways!" like if it's his time, death would be just fine with him.

seriously?

i love his blind faith and her loyalty.... tell me about it rae rae that's one boy worth saving!
