....yes thats right we took all four children to vegas... not for the 'conventional' vegas but for noah's gym meet...needless to say we stayed off the strip with the kids... at a great little resort in a suite which we will compare all other hotel rooms to and they will come up short every time... rae rae took a swim in the pool size jacuzzi tub... "swimsoup" and all... the ceilings were crown molded box setting off even the ceiling fans.... the room had views to spare.... and the town has it's beautiful serene new neighborhoods, commercial developments, lakes, and grandly lighted soccer fields, and a ymca community center, which all other cities and towns should covet and build for children... a mecca of people living everyday lives embedded in the desert floor surrounded by grand mountains who's peaks define the skyline... and then 8 miles east on the 95 lurks the sensually alluring darkness that broods into the night..... the entire highway lined with monstrous towers full of gamblers, nightclubs hoppers, and every walk of life.... the small streamline lights up in a way that has no parallel.... looking to fill some deep rooted hole in thousands of souls.... sometimes it's even simple boredom with the mundane routines in life.... personally i found it disgusting... filthy and just scary... being absent from the city for around 12 years left a smidgen of curiosity in my cat like nature... so after jack's meet we stayed to see some lions, the mandalay bay (a sea world knock off), and even catch a glimpse of some fountains that turned out to disappoint due to some drought code they seem to be adhering to.... so it went kinda like this....
