cinderella

....i have pics of her in my dress since she was 6 months old.... here she is last night at 2.... an idea from a fav friend and great photographer... when i pulled the dress out her gasp was so loud... this year she is old enough to appreciate it and not just barf all over it in the hopes of getting a good shot before she bawls and crawls out of it! after she was finished she said "mama your turn..." ummm yeah the last thing i wanted to do was put that dress on that hasn't been on in 11 years pre 4 kids and pointless dieting.... well of course i obliged her.... she was so excited and i have no pride... i'm not that mean! she was so excited i put it on and she said "you are not mommy... you are cinderella...ah do you need to marry a prince? oh you married daddy... daddy was your prince.... oh mommy that is so fun!" as she looked from me to the wedding pic to me to the pic.... and just like that she brought me back 11 years to my wedding day and how excited i was to be getting married to someone that i adored and treasured..... wow how time flies when you're having fun... i loved this dress... i saw it in a magazine and then found it in a bridal store... tried it on in cream... ordered it in white... my mom was with me every step of the way... she knew this dress made me feel like a princess... she even tracked down my gloves (upon which she insisted and i didn't argue)... and my glass slippers... clear very high heels that looked all the part... the ensemble was as perfect as it could get...
