....in case i've never made it clear how much i love target well here's just another praise blog to the retail mecca.... 'i thought you were done christmas shopping for luke and rachel' chimes the husband.... 'i was until i found this' on sale, so to be clear that it wasn't so much for christmas as just indulging a previous and quite unusual request by a precious little girl, ' mamma i want a train set', i emptied the boxes with a painful twang of how long it would take to set up. and, much to my surprise it was a cinch! now we have bought tossed given away a few in this lifetime due to my inability to correctly connect the entire box of wooden pieces into anything remotely resembling the enticing displays that real in little hands and their parents alike at toys r us and little boutiques. numerous leftovers create such a level of frustration in me... if the pieces are there they should have a purpose...oh no i've turned into my dad! ...so i did need to screw together the helicopter landing station but i walked into the garage opened jess' tool box and there was one screwdriver...hmmm..the x top kind, well it's worth a try... a perfect fit... imagine my glee... this kind of thing never happens to me... the rest of the pieces assembled with self locking holes and were incredibly self explanatory and it is now all assembled and ready for play... i can't wait for the little ones to wake up tomorrow... they're coming down with an upper respiratory funk and it will give them something to do tomorrow..... while we rest.... the best 28.00 i've spent in a long time!!! great gift idea for little boys 3-5ish and well the occasional 2 year old girl....
