{btw.... score start value is 15... to place athletes need to score 14 or over...usually...depending on the judge... bonus elements can bring the athletes to 16. We saw nothing higher than a 15.1 yesterday at 1st prelim. Noah is a 5.2 (level 5; 2nd year)
Zach is a 5.1 (level 5; 1st year) They do not compete against each other due to age... Zach competes age 7-8. Noah competes 9. It doesn't matter how many years in the level; you compete with kids your age. Anyone 2nd year has an obvious advantage. Noah placed on all 6 events; and all around. Zach placed on 2 events (huge :) for a 5.1) Also placing depends on the meet. Some meets go out 6 places; some 3; some 9 or 10.... Usually depending on the size of the meet. this meet had around 70 or so athletes in their age category 7-9}
He also took 4th on ph and 3rd on rings.
Zach placed on pommel horse (8) and on vault (6).

Next up.... 28 grueling hrs of practice over Christmas break and Vegas in January! Fun Fun! We love the dedication these boys put into training... it's very inspiring...
