there was a recent conversation i picked up on between zach and jess

"next year can we find a house with grass?"

"sure buddy, if that's important to you."

a few weeks later he said/inquired to me....

"mom, when we get a house with grass, like dad said we could...can i have my own room too??"

um... is he working off some checklist of the important things 7 year olds require?

....well most people we know live in houses with some type of lawn or grass, that is, except for us...and being raised (in the past town) with plenty of yard to spare, the kids have been left a little wanting this summer... luke has repeatedly hugged the slipn'slides to his chest in the target isle.. "mom can we get this pllleeeease???" i think the proximity of the ocean totally negates the need for a gargantuan yard, well 50 percent of the time anyway.... so here is 1 big summer fulfillment on the kids to do list... buy a slip n' slide... thanks aunt lizzy for being so cool about letting the troops flood your yard!
