...i could have been the long day of gym meets (the boys did great) or more likely the fact that i have recently let my guard down due to the irrational necessity to read everything i can.... and tonight i was wrapping up breaking dawn, after over 2000 pages the supernatural sci-fi world causes a bit of lapse in judgement, an existence of non reality, and a constant unnerving edginess, and an immunity to terror... all great reasons not to read the series...so my daughter asks if she can go outside and blow bubbles in the courtyard, by the way it's like 11ish, AT NIGHT (what your kids don't blow bubbles in the moonlight?? that's shocking!) and before i can think...my words escape me, 'no baby not tonight there are raccoons with big poofy stripped tails outside digging in our trash cans and if we disturb them they might try and bite us.' um what? did i just say that out loud? did i think that would silence her desire to go outside? did i just deliberately try to terrify my two year old? did i add extra descriptions too? wow. i think i need a jolt back into reality, as if the judgemental glares from jess over my obsessive reading aren't enough.... so i have spent the last hours trying to convince rae rae that the coons really are just hungry for food and won't eat us and goliath (geez that beast has to be good for something, you know earn his keep...) will fight the coons before they could ever get in the house. seriously a whole new can of worms in the pot starting to boil... the coons. she will be discussing them for days, obsessing over them, with me... aahhh that mother of the year award just slipped through my fingers....stupid shiny volvo.

If Papa was there he would have his spotlight, flashlight, camera, critter call ready to see the cute critters getting into your trash. By the way they are not friendly, so you are right. We enjoyed the gym meet today. The boys did a great job, and you and Rachel looked pretty cute for the camera ;)
Miss you!
haha.. that's great. although, i think we all need these stories in our life to keep a little sanity.. like there being alligators that live in my mom's pond. it's just easier that way.. well, sometimes.
